The Restaurant Can Quel in Foixà, is localed in the northwest of Baix Empordà, and specialises an Catalan and “empordanes” food from our region.
There are three dining rooms and a terrace. The restaurant has been in our family for over 100 years and is now run by the fourth generation of the Torrent family.
We have a wood-burning oven where we bake fresh bread and our speciality “cocas”, following a traditional method. The same oven is use for cooking in the kitchen. After the pine wood is use to heat the oven for the bread the coal is used to cook meat on the grill, enfacing it with a pine aroma.
We offer a varied seasoned menu using local products including roasts and stews.
This is a family restaurant and we want you to feel at home.

We have a capacity of about 90 people, divided into three dining rooms. In summer, we open the outdoor terrace that allows us to see the esplanade of Empordà. There is also a table tennis and a table football available.

We have disabled access, car parking, air conditioning, smoking and non-smoking areas, children highchairs and baby changing facilities.

We offer a daily set menu from Tuesday to Friday. On Tuesday we serve soup and cooked meat from the pot, on Wednesday potatoes stew, on Thursday black rice, and macaroni on Friday, as well as other dishes.
